Whether you’re new to making smoothies, or a seasoned veteran – hemp protein smoothies will pack in the nutrition. We’ve compiled several hemp protein smoothie recipes in this post. Check ‘m out! Smoothies are an easy go-to, on-the-go meal.

If you find you’re pressed for time in the morning, make your hemp protein smoothie the night before. Place it in the refrigerator. Store it in a proper sealed container. Grab it when you head out the door. Give it a good shake before drinking it.

Making Hemp Protein Smoothies to Fit Your Lifestyle

We’ve tried to provide different recipes for several dietary requirements. Hemp protein smoothies help to meet diabetic, keto, gluten free, dairy free, nut free, soy free, vegan, paleo or whatever your eating style. Although every recipe will not meet all these dietary needs, most can be adjusted slightly by omitting or adding an ingredient to make it your way.

All our hemp protein smoothie recipes are soy free and gluten free.

For making your hemp protein smoothies, I recommend blending hemp hearts and hemp protein powder into any smoothie recipe. Together, they’re a powerhouse combo! Hemp hearts provide the dietary required essential fatty acids. The hemp protein powder packs in more protein, magnesium, and iron—but lacks the abundant healthy fats the hearts supply. If you’re only choosing one, go with hemp hearts for their good fats and versatility.

For best results, use 3–4 heaping tablespoons of hemp hearts with 1–2 heaping tablespoon of hemp protein powder.

Calculate the Following for Customizing the Grams of Protein You Desire:

If you’re looking for more fiber, use Higher Fiber Hemp Protein Powder, which = about 3.7g of protein per tablespoon.

Hemp protein smoothies are PopPop’s favorite – especially this recipe that’s gluten free and dairy free. He claims hemp protein smoothies provide him with energy and help to keep him going strong.

Equipment

Method

  1. Preparing the Fresh Ginger
Fresh ginger root will give the best flavor. You'll find fresh ginger in the produce section of the grocery store; you can use powdered ginger but fresh is better.
The amount of ginger you use will depend on your taste buds.
Break off a chunk or 2 from the root, each about the size of a tablespoon. Wash & scrape the outside of the root to help remove the outer paper-like skin.
If this is the 1st time you're eating ginger, you may want to start with a smaller amount. The flavor can be strong & spicy. Add more until the flavor meets your desire.

  2. Preparing the Fresh Kale
Wash the desired amount of kale you want to include in your smoothie. I cheat and purchase the triple washed organic baby kale. If you use the bunched kale from the produce department, wash it.
